The City of Burleson contracts with Community Waste Disposal for curbside recycling. Recycling is collected once per week. All items must be placed in the city approved green bins and placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your recycling day. One bin is provided for each residence. Additional bins may be purchased for $10 each. To order an additional bin, please call 817-426-9830 during regular business hours. Lids are available at the Service Center, 725 SE John Jones Dr., at no additional charge.
Community Waste Disposal will observe the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Boxes need to be broken down and either stacked under your recycle bin or under your regular household garbage bags. If you have moving boxes, you can place the broken-down boxes into other boxes for easier handling, but please remove all packing materials and place in trash bags or in the recycle bin, depending on the type of material.
Recycle and Compost Center
Residents are welcome to drop off recyclables or pick up free mulch at the Recycle and Compost Center, located at 620 Memorial Plaza, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Effective March 6, 2012, the City of Burleson compost site will only accept brush, tree limbs and yard waste.
Residents will no longer be able to drop off other wood or wood by-products such as old lumber, desks, plywood, fencing etc., for grinding. These items will still be collected at the curb during a resident’s zone collection week. There are no changes for the drop off of curbside recycling materials at the City’s compost center. Residents may still bring curbside recyclable products to this site for processing.
For additional information, please call 817-426-9830 during regular business hours.
