What a difference a century makes. Originally a lonely water stop for steam engines on the Missouri-Kansas railroad, the City of Burleson was incorporated in 1912 and has since become one of the most livable communities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This year marks the City’s 100th birthday and we’re proud of the progress and growth Burleson has achieved. But this hasn’t happened accidentally, as City leaders and citizens alike have kept alive Burleson’s unique heritage. In celebration, the City and the Burleson Heritage Foundation are throwing several birthday parties, ranging from a Valentines Dance to an Independence Day Fireworks Show featuring Grammy Award winners Asleep at the Wheel. So, fellow citizens of Burleson, get ready to celebrate with us!
