Practice Driving Tests, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, offers free Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) practice tests to library patrons. The new service includes free tests specifically based on the state’s DMV materials. It is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that let users hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask portions of the screen for greater visibility on the practice tests.
The service includes:
11 car practice tests
9 motorcycle practice tests
12 CDL (commercial driver’s license) practice tests
3 online driver’s manuals (car, motorcycle, CDL)
A FAQ  section with detailed answers to over 100 DMV-related questions is a part of Elegant E-Learning, Inc., an eight-year-old company with a proven track record of revolutionizing online resources for learner drivers. is part of a plan to improve global driver safety by providing free practice tests written by experts to anyone who wants to study, along with online copies of official study guides. 


Skillshare is now available for checkout to adult cardholders of the Burleson Public Library. This online learning platform offers more than 22,000 classes on a myriad of topics including design, business, technology and more.

If you would like access, simply complete the online form and request to checkout Skillshare. We’ll verify your email address and send you an invitation at which time you’ll create a unique account that will give you access to the entire Skillshare library for the length of your checkout. Skillshare will save your account information and class progress between library checkouts, and you’ll still be able to use the account to access their catalog of free classes.  Checkouts will be rotated on a first-come, first-serve basis, but customers will have at least three weeks of access. If no account is available, you will be placed on the waiting list and notified when your checkout is available.
