Citizen Safety Preparedness Class

Hands-Only CPR/Stop the Bleed

Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.

This workshop provides the knowledge and skills required for effective response to threats, how to recognize and control life-threatening bleeding, and how to perform Hands-Only CPR/AED use.

Hands-Only CPR training is quick, easy, and lifesaving.  A person as young as nine can learn to perform chest compressions, potentially helping a cardiac arrest victim's chance of survival.

The CPR training includes a short tutorial and hands-on instruction with Burleson firefighters. Please note that attendees of this type of training will not receive official CPR certification. However, early and effective chest compressions can be performed by bystanders and are proven to substantially increase survival rates for cardiac arrest patients.

Classes are held the second Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m., Fire Station 16, 250 E. Hidden Creek Parkway.

There is no charge for this training, but class sizes are limited so make sure to sign up early.
