Hand Sewing
Saturday, 1-3 p.m.
Ages 10 through adult
Join us to learn basic hand sewing. Hand sewing is a basic easy-to-master skill. In a world where faster is often considered better, the practice of hand sewing often gets overlooked. Learning to hand sew helps improve fine motor skills, self-confidence, and patience.
Our teacher will guide students through the process. The classes are cumulative: each class builds on the one before.
Supplies needed:
- hand sewing needles-size 5-9 (not embroidery needles)
- snips or scissors
- pin cushion/holder
- spool of dark thread
- spool of light thread
The teacher does not recommend getting a poor quality pre-packaged sewing kit.
