The Burleson Animal Shelter takes pride in being able to offer comfort items to every animal that comes through the door. They help make the animals' time in the shelter more pleasant and aids staff in learning more about their behavior, which helps get the animals adopted into their 'perfect-fit' family.
These comfort items are particularly helpful during times of extreme weather conditions, when the animals are unable to spend as much time outside.
The animal shelter does not have a veterinarian on staff, but they do have a veterinarian who is available and will stop by the shelter to examine and treat sick or injured animals. Being able to provide that medical care to a lost pet gives the staff a chance to try to find the dog’s owner. Money that is donated can help save the lives of many animals.
For more information about donations, please call the Burleson Animal Shelter at 817-426-9283 or email them. The shelter, located at 775 SE John Jones Drive, is open Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
