Trash and curbside recycling will be collected on Monday, Jan. 17, but most city facilities will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.

City Hall, including water utility billing, along with the library, animal shelter, and Senior Activity Center, will all be closed. Burleson Public Health’s COVID-19 testing site and hotline will also be closed.

Hidden Creek Golf Course will be open, 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and the BRiCk will be open its regular hours, 4:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The regularly scheduled city council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 5:30 p.m.

Utility Bill Due Date Correction
January utility bills incorrectly list this month’s due date as Monday, Jan. 17. Since city hall will be closed the due date has been moved to Tuesday, Jan. 18. Late fees will not be assessed until Wednesday, Jan. 19. Utility payments can be made any time by phone, 855-498-9971, online at, or via the drive-up drop box located on the east side of city hall, 141 W. Renfro Street.
