1. Where can I obtain an employment application for the City of Burleson?

We accept online applications only for posted, open positions.

2. Will the City of Burleson accept a resume instead of an application?

No. You must complete an online application. You may upload your resume and cover letter at the time you apply online.

The hiring manager will review submitted applications, which may take up to 2-6 weeks. The hiring manager will contact applicants to schedule interviews.

6. What is required after the interview to be hired?

After interviews are completed the hiring manager will advise Human Resources who has been selected. From that point the following steps must be completed: 

1. Reference check
2. Offer letter presented to candidate and acceptance 
3. Background check (including criminal history, driving record check, education and employment verifications) 
4. Pre-employment drug screen/physical

7. Do you maintain applications on file?

No. You must reapply online for any future openings.
