1. What are the recycling collection holidays?

Beginning January 2017, the City's contractor will observe the following holidays: New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If any of these holidays fall on a weekend, there will be no interruption of service. If City offices are closed for the holiday, please contact Waste Connections at 817-222-2221.

3. Can I recycle my pizza boxes?

Food containers such as pizza boxes and styrofoam take-out containers are not accepted for the recycling program. All pizza boxes should be placed into trash bags for pick up.

4. What plastics are accepted for recycling?

Plastics # 1 - 5 and # 7 are accepted for recycling.

5. Can I get a lid for my recycling bin?

Lids are available at the Service Center, 725 SE John Jones Dr., at no additional charge.

6. What if my recycling wasn't picked up on my scheduled day?

If your recycling was set out by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled day and it was not picked up, please call 817-426-9835 during regular business hours to let us know. You may also submit the Missed Trash form.

7. Who do I report a damaged recycling cart to?

Contact the Public Works Department at 817-426-9835 and report the damage. The department will coordinate the repairs to the cart with the service provider.
