Adopt any pet from Burleson Animal Shelter between August 23 - 27 and pay no adoption fee! ••• NBC Universal Local is teaming up with the Burleson Animal Shelter, along with hundreds of shelters across the country, to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive in August 2022 that helps find loving homes for animals in need. Since 2015, NBCUniversal Local’s Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign has resulted in more than a half-million pets finding new homes. ••• The shelter will open Tue-Fri from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Saturday, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Adoptions remain on a first-come, first-served basis.

Murder Mystery and Dinner. A Lone Star Murder Mystery, "Waylaid at the Livery" Cinch up yer saddle and join the posse partner -- we've got a murder to solve! That's right, ol' "Horse Face Jack" has done been put out to pasture, but instead of grazin' he's pushing up daisies. Tickets go on sale Monday, August 8, space is limited.
