Who:

 The Burleson Fire Department along with their partners, Sigma Swimming, Burleson Nissan, Burleson Honda and the Burleson Recreation Center, are determined to end childhood drownings in our community.

What:

 This inaugural program is open to any second-grader (and as of March 28, 2018, any first-grader and third-grader, too) who lives in the city limits of Burleson or who attends school in Burleson ISD. Each student will be taught basic swim lessons and drowning prevention techniques with a certified swim instructor.
Child/Instructor Ratio: 1:6

When:

 April 7, 14, 21 & 28
Participants must be able to attend a one-hour lesson each Saturday morning in April.

Where:

 The Burleson Recreation Center, 550 NW Summercrest Blvd

Why:

 Only second and third-graders? Yes, currently it is open only to this age group due to the the type of structure the swim lessons have. If you are interested in signing up other children for lessons please contact Sigma Swimming, 817-991-8336
