Overview
The Burleson Police Department is under the leadership of Police Chief Billy Cordell and Deputy Chief D. Sandifer. It is divided into three bureaus - the Operations Bureau, which is under the leadership of Captain M. McGuire , the Support Bureau which is under the leadership of Captain W. Routson, and the Technical Services Bureau which is under the leadership of Captain R. Crum.
The Support Bureau is responsible for the performance of auxiliary services necessary to assist line personnel in the performance of their duties.
The Operations Bureau consists of a total of 35 authorized patrol positions. The Patrol Section is responsible for the protection of life and property. The Technical Service Bureau is responsible for the Public Safety Communications and the Records Section.
