Bye Bot Bash
Monday, March 9, 2026
Burleson’s sidewalk-scanning robots have officially wrapped up their work helping the city complete its ADA sidewalk assessment, and they’ll soon be heading out of town.
Before they go, the city invites residents to join us for a fun community send-off — the Bye Bot Bash.
The event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, March 9, in Mayor Vera Calvin Plaza, 141 W. Renfro Street, Burleson. Residents will have the opportunity to meet the robots, take photos and learn more about the city’s ADA Transition Plan.
Over the past several weeks, the robots have been helping collect data as part of the city’s federally required ADA Transition Plan. The plan evaluates city facilities, programs and infrastructure to identify accessibility barriers and prioritize improvements. The completed plan is expected in fall 2026.
The robots have quickly become local celebrities, and we know many residents, especially kids, have been excited to see them around town. The Bye Bot Bash will be a chance to say farewell before they roll off to their next mission.
Note: If the event is canceled due to rain, it will not be rescheduled — the bots have a very tight travel schedule and a mothership to catch.
