Book Donations
The Burleson Public Library accepts book and media donations on Fridays from 9am to 6pm. Need a different day? Please complete a Donation Interest Form and a volunteer from the Friends of the Library will contact you.
How it works:
- Donations are typically limited to one medium-sized box per household per week.
- Larger donations may be considered by the Friends of the Library; donors must complete a Donation Interest Form for review.
- A staff member or Friends of the Library volunteer will review your donation with you.
- You will be asked to sign a donation release form, which may be used for tax purposes.
All donated items are resold by the Friends of the Burleson Public Library. Proceeds directly support the library and help fund programs such as Summer Reading Club.
Please note: We cannot accept donations with conditions attached (for example, requests that items be added to the library’s collection).
We gladly accept:
- Books in good condition
- DVDs
- Blu-Rays
- Jigsaw puzzles
- Board games
We cannot accept:
- Items with mold, water damage, insects or dirt
- Magazines or newspapers
- CD, VHS tapes or cassette tapes
- Computer software
- Withdrawn library materials
- Encyclopedias
