First Baptist Promises Kids Eat Free
Each Summer Promises Community Ministries provides breakfast and lunch to each child who qualifies for the free lunch program during the school year.
Each Tuesday they can drive through and get a bag of common items for the family (like cereal or peanut butter) but then each child that qualifies also gets a bag of their own, with items they could have for breakfast or lunch. The goal is to make it items they could prepare for themselves since many may be home alone while parents are working. This program runs from the week after school ends through the week before they return.
