Community Oriented Policing

Overview
Community Policing in the city of Burleson, Texas, is defined as an organizational-wide commitment to the citizens of Burleson. The goal is to provide access and opportunities for all citizens to become involved in the development of partnerships. These partnerships will work toward solutions to concerns and issues by collaborative problem solving. The intent is to both develop and enhance relationships throughout the community with all citizens and community organizations; to listen to concerns; to evaluate crime-related data; and to provide timely and realistic proactive, and when necessary, re-active responses to the citizens.
