Citizen Input & Public Hearings

A city budget isn’t just numbers on a page—it’s about setting community priorities. That’s why public input is an important part of Burleson’s budget process.

When are the public hearings?

How can residents provide input?

Residents have several ways to share their voice in the process:

  • Attend a meeting – All budget and tax rate hearings are open to the public. Residents are encouraged to attend and share feedback directly with City Council.
  • Submit questions online – Submit an online form for questions or comments to Burleson Mayor & City Council
  • Ask the Mayor - Mayor Fletcher has invited residents to submit budget questions directly to him via this online form
  • Take the annual budget survey – Each spring, the City publishes a public survey to gather input on priorities and expectations before the budget is drafted. This feedback helps guide planning.

Stay informed throughout the budget process

To stay up to date on presentations, documents, meeting schedules, and budget updates, visit the city’s dedicated budget website. It’s the best way to follow along as City Council works through the budget process and to prepare for upcoming opportunities to share your input.

Mayor Fletcher Mayor's Minute Budget Video Series is another great way to stay informed. In these videos you can hear from Mayor Fletcher himself on how the budget works.
