2026 General Election
May 2, 2026 - General Election
Due to unopposed candidates, the May 2, 2026, General Election is scheduled to be cancelled at the March 2, 2026, regular city council meeting. The unopposed candidates who will be certified as being elected to office are as follows:
Mayor - Chris Fletcher
Council Place 2 - Phil Anderson
Council Place 4 - Larry H. Scott
Council Place 6 - Adam Russell
These candidates are scheduled to receive their certification and take their official oath of office at the May 4, 2026, regular city council meeting.

The City Secretary serves as the Chief Election Official for the City of Burleson and is responsible for conducting all city elections as prescribed by the Election Code of the State of Texas.
