Industrial Park Blvd. Pump Station Expansion & Alsbury Pump Station Decommissioning

The City of Burleson is moving forward with the Industrial Park Blvd. Pump Station Expansion project, which includes two key components:

  • Replacement and expansion of the Industrial Blvd. pump station facility

  • Decommissioning of the Alsbury pump station

This project will increase pumping capacity to meet future demand and support additional water supply expected from the City of Fort Worth’s Southside 2 Pressure Plane. Both pump stations were constructed prior to 1985 and cannot be expanded to accommodate anticipated growth.

The upgraded pump station will consolidate operations into a new facility adjacent to the existing Industrial Blvd. Pump Station site and improve overall service reliability across the system.

Project Scope

Major improvements include:

  • Expanded pumping capacity from 4 million gallons per day to 8.5 million gallons per day

  • Addition of a new 2-million-gallon ground storage tank

  • Property acquisition required for expanded facilities

  • Decommissioning of the Alsbury pump station
