Scheduled Court Sessions

The Burleson Municipal Court of Record offers scheduled court sessions. You must be scheduled on that specific docket and date in order to be seen. If you do not appear then a warrant and a failure to appear charge may be issued.

Entering an Appearance

After receiving a citation, you have 20 working days or the appearance date on the citation, to enter an appearance with the court in writing or in person. Telephone calls are not an appearance.

Failure to Appear

Failure to appear or answer to the citation within the 20 working days or appearance date listed on the citation, may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.  A $50 fee is incurred on each offense when a warrant is issued. When issuing an arrest warrant for a Class C misdemeanor offense(s), the relevant information is added to the state's criminal database. For more details, see Resolving Warrants.

Be advised that you are subject to arrest by any agency that confirms the warrant for your arrest. An arrest warrant will remain active until the fines and fees have been paid or a bond has been posted.
