Starting the week of August 30, a portion of McNairn Road will be converted to an alley.
A speed survey was conducted that showed speeding on this narrow section of McNairn was creating concerns for safety.
With this concern, starting the week of August 30 "Alley Access Only – No Thru Traffic” and “15 MPH” speed limit signs will be posted on the former McNairn Road.
The street already had the feel of an alley because it is narrow and people used it to access their backyards.
Residents will be able to use the alley to access the backyard of their residences, but it will no longer be open to through traffic.
