As City Manager, Ludwig will serve as the chief executive officer, chosen by the Burleson City Council to administrate all city affairs.

Ludwig served as Burleson's deputy city manager since August 2021, leading various city departments, including public works, development services, public safety communications, parks and recreation, human resources, and information technology. He has been serving as the interim city manager since May 19, after the role was vacated by former city manager Bryan Langley, who took the city manager role in Kyle, Texas.
