The City of Burleson’s marketing and communications team was honored to receive eight state awards at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in San Antonio on June 6, 2024.
The awards recognize outstanding communication by Texas communities in various categories, including website, social media, video production, and publications. Judging is conducted by non-TAMIO members with expertise in communications and municipal government.

A record-breaking 688 entries were submitted, from municipalities all across the state, for the 29 categories in this year’s competition. The city of Burleson brought home the second most awards behind the city of Arlington who were awarded 13.
