City of Burleson facilities, with the exception of public safety, will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29, in observance of Thanksgiving.
There will be no trash or curbside recycling collection on Thursday, Nov. 28. If you are on the Monday-Thursday route, your trash will be collected on the next Monday, Dec. 2. Curbside recycling will be collected on your next scheduled day. Thanksgiving is one of the three holidays when trash is not collected, the other two are Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Friday, Nov. 29 will be a regularly scheduled collection day for solid waste, recycling and bulk/brush.
Please note: Waste Connections anticipates some delays in trash pickup on the Friday after Thanksgiving due to a high volume of waste. Some routes maybe collected in the afternoon instead of the morning, however some may be delayed until Saturday morning. Residents are asked to leave their trash out, as all routes will be completed. Similar delays may also occur on the Monday following Thanksgiving.
Hidden Creek Golf Course and the Burleson Recreation Center (BRiCk) will be open normal hours Friday, Nov. 29.
The animal shelter, library, senior activity center will be open regular hours Saturday, Nov. 30, along with Hidden Creek Golf Course and the BRiCk.
