Mark those calendars now for the City of Burleson’s 2020 Hot Sounds of Summer Concert Series. The variety of artists are sure to satisfy a wide range of music enthusiasts, with bands that range from country to rock, and cover bands every Friday night, May 29 - June 26, at 7:30 p.m. The free 90-minute concerts will be held at the newly opened Mayor Vera Calving Plaza in in Old Town, 141 W Renfro.
- May 29: Le Freak (‘70s & ‘80s Disco Funk)
- June 5: Cooder Graw (Texas Country)
- June 12: Blaze of Glory (Bon Jovi Tribute Band)
- June 19: Brave Combo (Eclectic Rock & Dance)
- June 26: Emerald City (Party Rock)
- July 4: Fast Lane (Eagles Tribute Band) this concert is held at Chisenhall Fields during the city’s Fourth of July celebration.
Street closures in Old Town Burleson (W. Ellison St. and S. Warren Street) will start at 4 p.m. each Friday, come down early and eat at one of the more than half a dozen restaurants, then set up your lawn chairs and blankets in the street. Food and drink are allowed at the concerts, but patrons are strongly discouraged from bringing glass bottles, due to safety reasons.
