What to do if your pipes bust, OpenDoor Church looking for donations of bedding, overnight shelter, trash and recycling update and water information.
Some people are seeing their pipes bust from this weather. View a video on how to cut off the water at your home, if needed. Then call public works dispatch at 817-426-9903 and they will come and cut the water off at meter.
WARMING STATION & OVERNIGHT SHELTER
Overnight Shelters are open to Burleson residents:
- Open Door Church, 301 S. Dobson and will stay open overnight to provide shelter.
- Church of Christ, 1150 NW John Jones Drive, will also be open overnight to provide shelter.
- Graceview Baptist Church, 1440 S. Burleson Blvd. Animals are allowed here as long as they are crated.
TRANSPORTATION
If you need transportation to a shelter, please contact the Jeep Club, 817-935-8723.
DONATIONS NEEDED
OpenDoor Church needs sleeping bags and bedding. If you would like to donate you can drop it off at their Dobson Street location.
TRASH AND RECYCLING UPDATE
Trash and recycling will not run again tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17. We will keep you posted on conditions for Thursday and Friday.
WATER BOIL
Customers on Johnson County Special Utility District will need to boil their water. Follow them for more information and updates (https://www.facebook.com/JCSUD) .
City of Burleson water customers are not under a water boil notice.
