Bulk and Brush Pickup
Overview
Special pick-up items will be collected monthly for bulk in excess of 3 cubic yards and weekly on your second collection day of 3 cubic yards or less.
Yard Waste
Yard waste (grass clippings, leaves and mulch) may be placed in lawn and leaf bags or plastic bags weighing no more than 35 pounds. Bagged material may be set out with the second trash pickup of the week.
Large quantities (more than 3 cubic feet) should be placed out during the scheduled bulk collection week or set out gradually with the second weekly trash pickup. Dirt and soil are not accepted.
Cannot Be Collected
Items that crews cannot collect include, but are not limited to:
- Any building material/carpet from remodeling
- Appliances that have not had the Freon removed
- Automotive parts
- Brick
- Building materials
- Concrete
- Dirt
- Hazardous materials
- Oil
- Paint
- Railroad ties
- Rock
- Roofing material
- Shingles
- Treated lumber
Can Be Collected
Items that can be collected include:
- Furniture
- Large toys
- Lawnmowers/weed eaters/edgers that have had the gasoline and oil drained
- Limbs (not to exceed 6-foot in length), brush, and small pieces of wood, i.e. table legs
- Mattresses (find out other options for your unwanted mattress)
- Outdoor grills without the propane tank
- Regular kitchen appliances and appliances that have a sticker showing that the Freon has been removed by an appliance repair person
- Other large bulk items
Place the items at the curb the Sunday before your scheduled week, separating brush & yard waste from bulk items. Crews will collect items Monday through Friday of your zone week.
Zones
- Zone 1 - The week of the 1st Monday of every month
- Zone 2 - The week of the 2nd Monday of every month
- Zone 3 - The week of the 3rd Monday of every month
- Zone 4 - The week of the 4th Monday of every month
