The city will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Electronic Recycling, Tire Collection and Paper Shredding event on April 27, 2024 at the city's service center, 725 SE John Jones Dr. The event will be from 9 - 11 a.m. and is only available to residents who live inside Burleson city limits (proof of residency, including a city water of solid waste bill, is required.)
Household hazardous waste items are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and capacity may be reached for certain wastes before the event ends. There is no fee for paper shredding or electronics, but the volume of paper is limited to three boxes per household. Tires are limited to 4 per household. No commercial vehicle or tractor tires are accepted.
Environmental Collection Center
Residents wishing to dispose of paint or other chemicals may use the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center for drop off. Residents who do not want to wait until the next HHW collection event in Burleson, can take their household hazardous waste to the Environmental Collection Center (ECC).
