Solid Waste

General Information

Waste Connections (formerly Progressive Waste Solutions) is contracted for trash collection for all residential customers in the City of Burleson. Please see the rate schedule for garbage and recycling fees. See the Burleson Solid Waste and Recycling Brochure for more general information.

Garbage Bag Requirements

Disposable, weatherproof garbage bags are required for pick-up. Bags may be placed in garbage cans. Garbage cans are optional and maximum size is 96 gallons. Solid waste can still be placed curbside in tied trash bags. Bags must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular collection day. It is a violation of City of Burleson ordinances to place garbage on the curb more than 12 hours in advance of the regular collection day.

Recycling & Special Trash

Curbside Recycling and Special Trash Pick-Ups are also collected by Waste Connections.

Holidays

There will be no trash collection on these holidays:

• New Year's Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

If any of these holidays fall on a weekend, there will be no interruption of service. Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day will be regular collection days. If City offices are closed for the holiday, please contact Waste Connections at 817-222-2221.
