Zoning Code Update

As part of our initial outreach, we would like to hear from Burleson residents, Stakeholders, business owners, and any other interested persons regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the current Burleson Zoning Ordinance,  We will also be looking for ways the current regulations unnecessarily complicate the administration of land development and redevelopment and how they can be made clearer and more user-friendly.  Importantly, this project does not include updates to adopted City plans and policies or the Building Codes.

Board Responsibilities

The Planning and Zoning Commission's responsibility is to approve plans for subdivisions and make recommendations to the City Council regarding land use issues, rezoning requests, amendments to the zoning ordinance and other development regulations, and amendments to and updates of the Comprehensive Master Plan.
